Oil Boiler

I need a new 125000 btu oil boiler as one of mine is leaking (16yr old) It is housed in a stone built shed backing onto the main bedroom block (We are a small hotel with 4 buildings each with its own system) with a standard flue from top(Stainless steel chimney) I was wondering about either a trianco or warmflow as these have been recomended.Do you have to fit a condensing boiler when replacing as I know they can shut down in extreme cold when condensation freezes. I know a jug of hot water can sort it out it`s just if i`m not here,What do you recomend

Thank you for your enquiry.

Befeore deciding I would advise you to check with your OFTEC engineer to see which one you can fit. There are some circumstances that a condening boiler can not be fitted. However, it is in the hands of a qualified engineer who should carry out a survey and advise correctly.

Warmflow and Trianco are good boilers in either case.

With the wall brackets how far do the 2 column Modus radiators stick out from the wall?

Electric Boilers

I have a small fisher mans cottage approx 30ft long x 15ft wide. 2 x rooms downstairs, plus small bathroom 2m x 1.8m. Upstairs 2 x small bedrooms. Ive just built an extension off the back. 4m x 3m. Im installing underfloor heating downstairs with a couple of small rads upstairs. The bathroom will have a thermostatic mixer for shower. Plus sinks etc ref kitchen .My question is; I would like to run the cottage on an electric boiler. Ive looked at redring etc, is there one that would suit us ?? 2 adults live in the cottage. Can you advise

Thank you for your enquiry.

Any of the electric conventional boilers will do. However, it would be wise to check the output required by the boiler prior to choosing. For this, I can help but I would need to know an accurate UFH area in meters and the level of insulation installed as well as some other information.
