The full list of exempt buildings is contained in Schedule 2 to
the Building Regulations 2000 (as amended). The table below is only
a guide to some of the more general types of buildings/building
work which may be exempt from control under the Building Regulations.
It does not contain all the detail or conditions which may need
to be met. For the full list and details you should refer to Schedule
2 to the regulations.

safety’). Conservatories or porches which are wholly
or partly glazed must meet the requirements of Part N (‘Glazing
– safety in relation to impact, opening and cleaning’).
