The Gledhill CondenCyl HE is a high performance cylinder that has been designed to be used in conjunction with a condensing boiler.
The high performance heat exchanger housed within the CondenCyl HE reduces the boiler cycling - thus maximising the time in which the boiler can operate in condensing mode.
The special coil means that recovery time is only 14 minutes with a correctly sized boiler, conforming to CHESS best practices.
The faster recovery time, coupled with a reduction in the boiler cycling, means that the cost of producing hot water can be reduced.
The high efficiency coil within the CondenCyl HE means that a smaller capacity cylinder is required, because only required water is heated.
For example, a 120 Litre cylinder that meets Part L requirements is equivalent to a 75 Litre CondenCyl HE cylinder.
Furthermore, the extra insulation on CondenCyl cylinders can further reduce standing losses. This can be particularly beneficial during the summer months.
- Perfectly matched with a condensing boiler - High efficiency coil can encourage better condensing conditions
- Energy saving - High efficiency coil reduces boiler cycling, saving money and energy for the homeowner
- Faster heating - CondenCyl HE heats water quickly (15 minutes reheat time achievable)
- Faster re-heat - A cylinder with a smaller capacity is required
- Extra insulation - Standing losses are significantly reduced
- 14 minute recovery - recovery time can be as low as 14 minutes if the boiler is sized correctly
- Highest standards - Meets CHESS best practice requirements and exceeds BRE EcoHomes specification (zero ODP and GWP)
