 Gledhill Torrent HP Thermal StoresAn open vented mains pressure thermal store designed for use with heat pumpsThe Torrent HP (Short for Heat Pump) is a copper primary water thermal store that can accept input from a number of energy sources because it is the neutral point of the whole system. When using the Torrent HP Thermal Store, instead of an alternative unvented cylinder, with an air source heat pump, it is NO LONGER NECCESSARY to raise the temperature (often by electric immersion heaters) to thermally disinfect the storage vessel. Removing this process increases the efficiency of the heat pump.
