Heating technology has advanced considerably, and floor heating is now much more affordable and an efficient way of heating homes. Installing floor heating opens up a whole range of possibilities for homeowners, revolutionising interior design and creating a comfortable, gentle and even heat.
The Polyplumb Underfloor Heating System is suitable for use in hot and cold water supply, and both radiator and floor central heating systems. The polybutelene pipe provides flexibility and freedom when designing pipe layouts.
Overlay floor system information
Overlay can be installed in most buildings and linked into the existing heating system via a zonal regulation unit (ZRU).
The system uses a low profile panel that is laid over existing solid or timber floors. The 18mm thick panels are laid on the existing load bearing floor and glued together.
The pre-formed plastic return bends are placed at opposite ends of the room. The 12mm barrier pipe is laid in the grooves, and the system can either be directly covered by tile or laminate flooring or a 4mm plywood capping layer used for vinyl.
