This QSS Vertcial Oil Tank, capacity 1360 Litres (299 Gallons), is a single skin tank that is superbly manufactured to the highest standards. QSS Oil Tank Features
- Every QSS oil tank undergoes a thorough inspection prior to despatch.
- All QSS Oil Tanks should be installed on a firm flat surface supporting the entire base area of the tank, this base should extend 300mm on all sides. Refer to OFTEC booklet TI/131 for advise on siting of tanks.
- All tanks are manufactured from UV stabilised medium grade polyethylene and are supplied with 1" BSP outlets.
- QSS tanks are compatible with the latest electronic low level and overfill alarms
- Empty Weight: 50kg

QSS tanks are members of OFTEC and all their products are manufactured in accordance to current OFTEC guidelines. All QSS Oil tanks come complete with a ten year warranty and an OFTEC CD10T which should be completed at time of installation, risk assessment reports TI/133 should also be completed before installation, T19 will give advice on construction of tank base required. THE LAW ON SINGLE SKIN OIL TANK INSTALLATION
QSS single skin tanks are designed for the storage of heating fuels in domestic installations. However, if the tank is to be sited within the following situations - a bunded oil tank must be used;
- - 50 metres of a well, borehole or spring
- - 10 metres of controlled water e.g. open drain, manhole cover, river, stream or lake
- - where the tanks vent is not visible from its fill point
- - where the capacity exceeds 2500 litres or when any potential spillage could run over ground into controlled waters

Oil Tanks are not suitable for installation at commercial, industrial or institutional installations. Installation of Single Skin
Oil Tanks at domestic premises is only permitted following a Risk Assessment undertaken by a suitably competent person.
