PHYDROEIDC - Smiths Hydroflame Elite Inset Dual Fan Convector with Chrome Trim £595.92 £496.60

The Smiths Hydroflame Elite Inset Dual Fan Convector with Chrome Trim is a flame-effect fan convector that looks just like a real fire, but runs off your central heating system. The patented technology is cost-effective, effiicient and totally safe - as well as making a beautiful centrepiece in any room. Because there are no real flames or hot surfaces, it is perfect for an environment where the elderly or children are present.

Image showing Smiths Hydroflame technology HOW DOES HYDROFLAME TECHNOLOGY WORK?
Hydroflame units require connection to a wet central heating system as well as an electrical connection for the flame-effect and fan. Hot water passes through the heat exchanger and transfers it to the aluminium fins. Cool air is drawn in and creates the flame effect. Heat is then expelled gently back into the room at a more even temperature than a traditional panel radiator or fire. This technology will, on average, add around £10.00 to your annual heating bills.

Inset models will fit into a 400mm wide x 550mm high recess - a standard fireplace size.

Freestanding models are compatible with the range of fireplace suites available separately.

Dual models include a 1.5kW heating element - perfect for summer months when central heating may be off.

Smiths Domestic Product Selection Diagram

Suitable for Room A: Living Room or Dining Room

This product would be most beneficial when installed in a living room or dining room situation domestically.

Highly Energy Efficient

Independent tests have shown that fan convectors use at least 24% less energy than radiators for room heating. They also use 5% of the water content of an equivalent output radiator - therefore the room heats up faster and response to changing conditions is quicker.

Compatible with Central Heating System

Fan convectors work efficiently within central heating systems regardless of whether they are connected to a traditional boiler-fed system or renewable technology such as a heat pump.

Help Improve SAP Ratings

In accordance with the Code for Sustainable Homes, fan convectors assist in improving the SAP rating of a home and is similar in efficiency to underfloor heating.

Low Surface Temperature

Fan convectors have very low surface temperatures and are not hot to the touch, unlike traditional radiators. This means that fan convectors are perfectly safe around children and the elderly.
