Telford have been manufacturing and supplying their Thermal Stores for the last 12 years. Telford have designed all of their Thermal Stores to accept any heat source that is currently available including Solar and range cookers.

This unit is the workhorse of the Telford Thermal Store cylinder range. The original design is over 12 years old but has proven itself in many applications. It remains a specifiers favourite due to its size, replacing old systems in small airing cupboards.

How a Thermal Store Works...

The water in the cylinder 'the store' is heated to and maintained at 76°c by the heat source which could be a boiler, immersion heater or even solar (optional).

Cold water is fed, at mains pressure, through a heat exchanger into 'the store' (through a high effiecncy coil). The heated water is then blended with the cold mains water and supplied to the taps at a controlled 51°c.

These systems are highly efficient as heat loss is kept to a minimum due to the high density CFC free foam installation. Running costs are also at there lowest, as all the system is doing is heating the water you use.

The key to using a thermal store in the most effective and efficient manner is to maintain 'the store' temperature at a constant of 76°c by the means of your chosen heat source.

This will ensure that hot water is ready instantly, at mains pressure, so it is available whenever required and there is no waiting for the cylinder to heat up.

Thermal stores do not require G3 Building Control Notification and unlike other stored mains pressure systems and no special qualifications are required to install the unit.
