Designed by therapists, the Functional Hand Splint has several uses. Its design maintains soft tissue length in the fingers and wrists and allows for functional activity of the arm, whilst maintaining good joint alignment in the hand. The unique design of the core allows it to be used with a wide range of implements and tools as part of a wider therapeutic programme e.g. pens, pencils, cutlery, hairbrushes etc whilst maintaining the hand in the correct therapeutic position. Objects can be placed in either the narrower or wider end of the splint increasing the independence of the user. The Functional Hand Splint is suitable for users of all ages and conditions experiencing decreased functionality in their hands. Available in three sizes, small, medium and large to suit all hand sizes.
