If your home already has a back boiler it’s likely to be a Bermuda. And as a system, it’s a very good idea to stay with it.

Bermuda’s have established a reputation for being robust and reliable. But if you do already own this system, do you know how old it is?

In the last five to ten years Bermuda’s have made great steps in improved efficiency. If you think that yours may be an older type then maybe now is the time to upgrade. It’s very, very simple. Greater efficiency will obviously bring longer term savings. Though you will also have the task of choosing one of the 18 different lifestyle fire fronts which you’d like to see in front of the boiler.

Let’s look at the back boiler’s benefits. It delivers hot water to taps, showers or baths all at the same time. Handy if there’s a couple or more of you arriving home together. Bear in mind, though, that Bermuda’s operate with a hot water storage cylinder. If it should run cold it’ll need a little time to heat up again.

You’ll need to choose between two back boiler outputs: it’s easy. Our smallest unit is 15kw and powerful enough for most family homes. Whilst the larger, at16.1kw, is a scorcher. So plenty to warm to there, then.
