Bathroom mirrors are utilised almost as much by men as they are by women according to a report in the Daily Mail. Research shows men and women spend a considerable amount of time looking in household and bathroom mirrors.
According to the report in the Daily Mail, it’s very much a case of ‘mirror, mirror on the wall’ as women utilise household and bathroom mirrors up to 71 times a day with their male counterparts not lagging that far behind. As the UK population becomes increasingly image conscious, the instances of checking reflections in bathroom mirrors are on the rise as people endeavour to ensure that there are no major hair disasters or make-up mis-haps.

With an increasingly image conscious society, the use of
bathroom mirrors, household mirrors and more or less any reflective surface to check ourselves out is on the up. According to the report in the Daily Mail, millions of women, with men not far behind, can’t go for more than half an hour without checking their reflections; with bathroom mirrors being the most common port of call. The survey conducted by the Daily Mail discovered that the worst offending women checked their reflections up to 71 times and the vainest men checked their reflections as much as 66 times a day.
Bathroom Mirrors – Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder
Whilst checking yourself out up to 71 times a day in household and bathroom mirrors may seem somewhat on the excessive side, it is, according to the report in the Daily Mail, the exception rather than the rule. The survey carried out on 2,000 respondents discovered that the national average for checking one’s reflection was 27 times a day for men and 34 times a day for women. It transpired that Liverpool had the most image conscious ladies with the chart topping 71 checks on reflection each day whereas Bristol ladyfolk checked their household and
bathroom mirrors just 8 times a day.
