It seems as though the trend for under floor heating is increasing-even celebrities are promoting under floor heating systems.

Everyone seems to be splashing out on having under floor heating systems fitted recently, and these celebrities as always take it that bit further and are getting them installed in all kinds of places!

Under floor heating seems to be coming less of a luxury and more of a necessity in places that celebs frequent. It appears that this is becoming more of a common request and even the humble Madonna is insisting on under floor heating, when she stays in The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest. Likewise you would not find celebrities, such as Joan Collins and Reece Witherspoon, at the MacDonald Spa Hotel in Bath if it did not boast a luxury under floor heating system.

Celebrities, pets and under floor heating

Under floor heating was already a standard feature in many celebrity homes; but Kylie Minogue has celebrated her return to full health by having an outstanding £5,000 underfloor heating system installed into her London flat.

Even celebrities pets are becoming accustomed to the luxury of under floor heating. Sharon Osbourne has insisted that her dogs must live in her house that has under floor heating. Celebrities are even doing charity work that includes under floor heating. Trinny Woodall agreed to open the Dogs Trust West London, a re-homing centre for stray dogs. The centre contains 75 glass-fronted kennels, all underfloor heating and is set in 16 acres of farmland-luxurious dog accommodation.

Under floor heating in other parts of the home

Tottenham and England goal keeper Paul Robinson took no chances with his car not starting and had under floor heating installed in his garage to stop his car from getting too cold.

In Vail, Colorado, the ski resort has all their pavements fitted with under floor heating so that celebs such as Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz don’t have to struggle through the snow until they get to the ski slopes.

Why celebs choose under floor heating

The reason for the recent popularity of under floor heating with celebrities is simple, it is luxurious. Also another important factor is that it is much more economical and ‘green’ than standard heating.

However, because under floor heating is actually very affordable to install and run, the running costs tend to be less than standard heating, there is no reason why everyone can’t have a piece of the celebrity lifestyle.
