Toilet Seats - Loony LoosToilet seats may seem innocent enough, but as tabloid stories show, they can be places of bizarre acts and weird tales.Toilet seats are pretty mundane pieces of furniture, unless you have one of those novelty toilet seats that can become something of a talking point. But surprisingly, there are some rather fantastic stories as a result of odd encounters with toilet seats. In America, an extremely bizarres story resulted in the Daily Mail headline: 'Woman rescued after sitting on boyfriend's toilet for TWO YEARS'. Toilet Seats – You Couldn't Make it Up!The idea of voluntarily sitting on toilet seats for more than half an hour seems absurd. And yet the report says the woman spent two years on the toilet seat – which resulted in her legs wasting away and her skin growing around the seat. Ugh! Even more oddly is that her boyfriend allowed this to continue for two years – bringing her food and water to the woman. The woman told her rescuers that she was alright and didn't want to leave the toilet seat. But the toilet seat was so embedded into her body it has to be pried off the toilet bowl – the toilet seat went with the woman to hospital, where it was finally removed.Toilet Seats and Toilet HumourIn the UK, there was the story of a man who was glued to a toilet seat – although this time, he was stuck not because he loved sitting on toilet seats so much, but because he'd been glued to the toilet seat as part of a prank. The story was naturally a gift to the sub editors on the Daily Mail, who came up with the headline: 'Superg-loo-ed'. The man found himself glued to a public toilet seat after somebody had covered the seat with glue. The toilet had to be removed with the poor man still attached as the ambulance service were unable to free him. Fire rescue teams were called in to help remove the stainless steel toilet. Once in hospital, he was freed using special chemicals. The man was unhurt by the incident although a spokesman told the press he was a little red-faced after undergoing the humiliating ordeal. The story must surely make many people think twice before sitting on toilet seats in public loos!Looking for new toilet seats?
