Woman Sues after Toilet Seat Breaks

An American woman is suing after a toilet seat she was sitting on broke.

The woman was sent violently in to the toilet bowl and was consequently stuck there for approximately 20 minutes. The disabled toilet seat that was sat on shattered and the woman in question, who had recently had hip surgery, was left injured when the raised toilet seat broke. The lawsuit is also claiming she hurt her lower back in the breaking toilet seat incident.

The woman is suing the toilet company and the bar in which the incident took place for $150,000 each. After being rescued from the toilet she was lodged in the woman’s lawyer insists she is not obese and the toilet seat must have been defective before she sat on it.

The husband of the woman is also suing; he is trying to get $75,000 for his wife’s toilet seat incident on the grounds of being "deprived of the society, consortium, companionship, services and assistance of his wife”, for the 20 minutes they were separated.
