19/09/2007
Homeowners are increasingly choosing to convert smaller room into a full bathroom, reports the Washington Times.
Whether turning it into a guest bathroom or so a family member can have some extra privacy, many families are opting for extra facilities.
Sonny Nazemian, chief executive officer and president of Michael Nash Custom Kitchens and Homes, told the paper: "I call it 'Bathroom to Go.'
"Every part of the house has a bathroom. Each bedroom has a bathroom. All the old powder rooms are being converted."
Some are even converting closets or parts of a hallway into a bathroom, Mr Nazemian added. People are also "glamorising" existing
bathrooms with larger
showers and other luxuries, he said.
Project designer at Case Design/Remodeling, Jill Hardy, told the paper that often adding additional bathroom scan up the value of a house substantially.
"You get a good return on the investment" she said.
