Sales of new bathrooms are proving popular, according to one retailer.

Figures from Kingfisher, which owns the DIY chain B&Q in the UK, has reported that sales of bathrooms have been up in recent months and have helped it post promising results.

Updated ranges of bathrooms have been a hit with consumers, the organisation's chief executive, Gerry Murphy, said.

Meanwhile, designer radiators have also been a top choice among customers, demonstrating the growing importance of high-quality plumbing items in homes across the UK.

Modern and stylish bathroom fittings are growing in popularity as homeowners recognise that an impressive bathroom is not only enjoyable to use on a daily basis, but can also add value to a property.
