Bathrooms - Low budget ''no barrier to style''

People planning to renovate their bathroom should be able to integrate some cutting edge design even if they have a limited budget, according to a television interior design duo.
Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, the stars of Million Pound Property Experiment and The Estate, said that although the bathroom is generally the smallest room in the house, it is the one that makes the biggest impact on visitors and potential buyers.
Speaking in their role as ambassadors for Ambi Pur Odour Naturizer bathroom products, the duo encouraged homeowners to think about colourful tiling, flooring and accessories when redecorating.
"With cutting edge design now available to all budgets, don't be afraid to open your mind to a world of egg shaped baths," they continued.
The Scottish double act added that although free standing basins are de rigueur at present, smaller
bathrooms may instead benefit from the introduction of a timber clad sink unit.
Despite the stars' insistence that style can be achieved for a low cost, a recent survey by Halifax found that one in four people under budget when they embark on a home improvement project.
