Bathrooms - Planning important when redeveloping a bathroom
19/09/2007
Even seemingly modest
bathrooms can be improved, but in order to do so, thorough planning must be involved, it has been suggested.
Using space wisely is perhaps the most crucial factor of all when planning the refurbishment of a bathroom, the Economic Times advises.
If a bathroom is small, it is advisable to install a shower in the bath, rather than a separate cubicle, or turning the space into a wetroom might be an even better option.
And there are many less expensive, small things one can do to jazz up a bathroom.
The article states: "Don't forget those easy, low cost decorative touches that can create a whole new look, such as new window treatments, a colourful
shower curtain, towels and bath mats, or even small items such as soaps and candles."
If one is installing tiles, it is very important that they are of the non-slip variety in order to prevent a nasty accident, the Economic Times cautioned.
