Boilers - ''Make home improvements before winter'', advises expert
02/11/2007
Homeowners have been advised to act now to make any planned home improvements before winter sets in.
By acting before chill winds of the season hit, property-owners will be able to enjoy the a comfortable winter free of extra layers of clothing and worry over elderly relatives who may be susceptible to the cold, Vicky Emmott of Halifax Home Insurance advises.
Meanwhile, for those who are sticking with their existing boiler, Ms Emmott said, it is imperative that it is checked out by an expert to avoid the chance of future discomfort.
She said: "Winter is the time when we retreat to the warmth and safety of our homes, but before doing so there are some essential checks that need to be carried out."
