Boilers - Baxi boiler saves burgled pensioner from winter chills

Boiler manufacturer Baxi and a kind-hearted plumber have rescued an elderly widow from the prospect of a bleak and biting winter.

Molly Taylor of Halifax had been saving money to update her boiler and heating system - a wise move given the savings to be made and ever increasing energy bills.

However, her hopes of enjoying a toasty festive season seemed to have been stymied when the savings she had earmarked for a new energy-efficient boiler was stolen from her house by a burglar.

Fortunately, news of her mishap spread to plumber Tom Spellman and Baxi, who agreed to supply and fit a brand new Baxi Solo HE 18kW heat only boiler for free.

Ms Taylor told the Builders Merchants Journal: "The generosity is overwhelming," said Molly Taylor. "It's not been a pleasant few days, but this is so kind I just don't know what to say."
