Boilers - Eco-villages to have eco-boilers
28/12/2007
Government plans to become a world leader in the development of environmentally-friendly housing will see an upsurge in demand for eco-
boilers.
The government is looking to develop a range of eco-villages over the coming years, with the new developments being zero-carbon so as to limit their impact on the environment.
As part of this scheme, each new property will have to be fitted with an energy-efficient boiler so as to reduce the amount of emissions being produced by the houses.
A scheme for the creation of eco-friendly villages has already been put into practice by developer Barratt, which last year unveiled its eco-smart show-village in Lancashire.
This operation was used to test out a number of methods to reduce emissions from properties, including the use of rooftop wind turbines and low-emission boilers.
It is hoped that the new schemes will help the UK to take a lead on the global stage in tackling climate change by reducing emissions and the installation of eco-friendly boilers in new and existing properties will be a crucial part of that effort.
Heat and Plumb sells energy-efficient boilers from Ariston, Maxol as well as highly acclaimed models from Trianco and Vokera.
