Boilers - Free boiler for freezing family

A Huddersfield family have been saved from the cold after a local firm installed a Ferroli boiler in their house for free.

The family of Nina Johnson and Steve Bostock had suffered through the winter without heating, after a plumber failed to complete a job and left them without a boiler, reports the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Local firm AJ Plumbers heard about the family's problems with the rogue tradesman and spoke to manufacturer Ferroli, which donated a boiler for free.

Craig Furze, a partner at AJ Plumbers, said he was "gutted" when he found out about the family's lack of heating and helping them was "the natural reaction".

Mum Nina Johnson told the paper: "It's nice and warm and lovely to get up in the morning and not have to hurry up and get dressed. I'd like to say a massive thanks to AJ Plumbers and the other plumbers who offered to help."

Ferroli manufactures a range of boilers, including the combi gas Maxima 35C and the condensing Optimax 25S, as well as a variety of digital timers and flue kits.
