Boilers - Surveyor recommends boiler check-ups
24/10/2007
Homeowners should get their boiler checked out if they want to cut their heating bills and save energy, it has been claimed.
According to property surveying firm Allied Surveyors, an efficient boiler is one of the keys to ensuring that heating bills are as low as possible this winter and to cut homes' carbon footprint.
Chris Rispin, technical director at Allied Surveyors, said: "In the lead-up to winter, it is important to prepare our homes for every eventuality."
Mr Rispin also recommended improving loft insulation and attending to rotten window frames and buying thicker curtains, which can prevent heat escaping.
Homeowners looking to cut their carbon footprint and save even more on their heating bills might like to consider replacing their old boiler with an up-to-date energy-efficient model.
Heat and Plumb offer an extensive range of the latest
boilers including models from Vokera, Ariston,
Trianco and Vaillant.
