Condensing Boilers - Energy-efficient boilers ''can cut 40 percent off heating bill''
20/12/2007
Huge savings can be made by investing in an energy-efficient boiler, according to the director of a leading energy and heating price comparison website.
Latterly the UK domestic appliance market has seen a flood of new energy-efficient
boilers including models from Trianco, Vokera and Vaillant.
However, although people are coming around to the new models in increasing numbers, the proportion opting for energy-efficient boilers is likely to increase even more dramatically when there is greater awareness of the savings they deliver, according to Michael Phillips of Energychoices.com.
He said: "Anyone whose boiler is more than ten years old should start to think about having it replaced with a new energy efficient condensing boiler. These can be up to 96 per cent efficient and will cut your energy bill by up to 40 per cent straight away.
"However, 32 per cent of people have a boiler older than 10 years, and 50 per cent of which still aren't using condensing boilers, despite some older models being little more than 55 per cent efficient - wasting more than £200 a year."
Heat and Plumb sells energy-efficient boilers from Ariston, Maxol as well as highly acclaimed models from Trianco and Vokera.
