Condensing Boilers - Money-saving motivates ''green'' improvements, expert claims
15/10/2007
Many homeowners who are acting to cut their CO2 emissions are more motivated by saving money than saving the planet, it has been claimed.
According to Sam Turnbull of environmental group DownwithCO2, the lower bills and value that energy-efficient heating can add to homes is proving just as much of a driving factor for people adapting their homes as growing awareness of environmental issues.
He said: "One of the big motivators at the moment is still the cost saving aspect of this issue, rather than concerns about global warming.
"It is not a bad thing. It does not make any difference what their motivations are. If they are doing something constructive in this area, then we are all for it."
Homeowners looking to cut emissions or just make savings to energy bills might wish to consider an energy-efficient boiler.
