Fires and Heaters - Dimplex digs deep to develop JCB-branded heater

Heating solutions firm Dimplex has developed a fan heater especially for the global construction industry, it has been announced.

The portable heater is being marketed worldwide under the JCB brand - the digger company with whom Dimplex has an exclusive product development and licensing deal.

Dimplex/JCB's product, which is soon expected to be heating construction workers all over the globe, is available from high street retailers.

Matthew Conrad, director and general manager of JCB consumer products, told heatingandventilating.net: "Dimplex not only met the high standards but also impressed us with their product development procedures and both our companies share a commitment to the importance of product design and brand values. This makes our partnership a perfect match."

Mr Conrad's positive sentiments were echoed by Nick Paul, marketing manager for space heating products at Dimplex and that the licensing deal will enable his employers to take portable heating to a new audience.

He added: "We hope this is the first of many JCB heating products and look forward to a long and successful relationship."
