Homeowners with three bedroom homes can make significant savings by following heating improvements recommended by the government's Energy Performance Certificates.

According to Which? magazine, by improving boilers and insulation up to £270 can be saved every year by implementing changes suggested by the certificates, which are included as part of Home Information Packs (Hips).

This projection was based on a snapshot survey of energy assessors and EPCs, conducted in the six weeks after the introduction of the certificates for houses with more than four bedrooms.
