Grundfos Pumps - Grundfos signs up to Second Life

Pump manufacturer Grundfos is joining the influx of companies worldwide setting up a presence in online world Second Life.

The firm says it plans to use its virtual incarnation to test out sustainable business ideas, which may then use in its bricks and mortar business.

Grundfos eBusiness' Thomas Koldbaek said: "New ideas, the chance to invite users to take part, dialogue across national borders, innovation power and a large amount of curiosity are the reasons why Grundfos is going to open a new and completely different island in Second Life.

"We have spent quite some time deciding how and why we want to be present in Second Life. Our island is of optimum quality, and facilities and buildings have inviting and exciting designs."

Grundfos was recently rewarded for the quality of its products by the presentation of the prestigious award for Best Supplier from the Bosch Group.
