Heat Pumps - Heat pump firm backs water charity event
11/04/2008
Grundfos, the heating pump specialist, is to support an event that promotes clean toilet provision across the globe.
The firm has signed up to WaterAid, a fundraising event which aims to help 2.6 billion people, or 40 per cent of the world's population, who do not have access to clean sanitation, reports ProcessingTalk.
In September this year, a WaterAid multimedia quiz will take place in Droitwich Spa to raise funds for the project.
The quiz is the sixth annual event held by the charity, which has raised a total of £300,000 to help developing nations gain access to clean toilet and bathroom facilities.
Grundfos have joined the charity as part of the organising team, to bring what is claimed to be the "biggest and best event yet", with over 250 guests attending.
The company, which manufactures products such as the Grundfos Conlift Condensate Removal Pump, states that one of its aims is to bring water to the people of the world.
