Heating Controls - Dimplex and Vaillant on awards shortlist

The shortlist for the 2008 H&V News Awards has announced, ahead of the awards ceremony on May 1st.

Included in the candidates are Dimplex UK in the renewable application of the year category and the Vaillant vrc 630 Boiler Management System in the industrial and commercial heating product of the year band.

There are 18 categories in the awards, ranging from the air movement product of the year, to apprentice of the year, to environmental initiative of the year.

Adam Northcroft, H&V News associate publisher, said: "The H&V News Awards for excellence have continued to grow in popularity since [their] inception.

"Judging as ever was very difficult with entries from some of the most distinguished names in our industry."

H&V News has also revealed that the 2008 awards saw a record number of entries, with judges for the final award being drawn from across the construction industries.

Sponsors of the event, which will be held in the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, include Baxi, Vaillant and Vokera.
