Kitchens - Snake in kitchen sink gives homebuyers a scare
09/01/2008
Two Scottish homebuyers were turned off buying a property when they opened the kitchen door only to find a five foot python in the kitchen sink.
The couple came across the dead snake and fled in fear, doubtless pledging never to return.
Alan Govan, a viewing agent, who was showing the couple around the home, was as shocked at the kitchen sink find as his clients were.
His colleague Keith Rarity, told the Daily Record: ''Alan told the clients, 'This is the kitchen - there's a snake in the sink.
''It brought the viewing to a sudden stop. Alan then phoned the office and told us, 'You've got to come and see this.'
He added: ''The couple won't be buying that flat. I don't think they'll buy within a mile of it.''
The snake was subsequently taken to a local vet who attempted to revive it for 12 hours to no avail.
