Macerator pumps ''can help elderly''

The benefits of Saniflo macerator pumps for the elderly have been highlighted in a recent article.

Installing such a unit can make modifications to a home easier, with a macerator pump allowing a downstairs toilet to be installed without the need for major plumbing works, according to Buildingtalk.

The publication notes: "If stairs are becoming an obstacle it makes sense to modify the house in order that access to a WC and shower no longer means grappling with this unwelcome hurdle."

By installing a Saniflo macerator pump in an area such as an understairs cupboard can easily create a discrete ground-floor toilet, "enabling occupants to regain confidence in their home surroundings".
