Plumbing - Conservatory and plumbing stolen from house
Thieves in County Durham have stolen a whole conservatory along with bathroom fittings from a vacant property, it has been reported.

Police revealed that the criminals took the conservatory to pieces and whisked it away from the bungalow in Burnhope, according to the BBC.

In addition to the conservatory, the £300,000 property also lost its plumbing, a spa bath and light fittings.

Sergeant Neil Bickford of Durham police told the news provider that the criminals would have gone to "considerable lengths" to plan and carry out the theft.

"Removing a conservatory alone would have taken a team of men several hours," he commented.

He also noted that other people could have seen the crime as it was being carried out, but may have assumed that building work was being done to the house.

In related news, Suffolk police have advised homeowners to make sure that their oil tanks are secure after a spate of thefts, reports the EADT24.
