Plumbing - Happy ending for fairy tale toilet
10/01/2008
A toilet with a fairy tale mural has cast a spell over normally stony-faced judges at the annual Loo of the Year award.
The toilet was painted with fairytale characters and railways by artist Sharon Wilson to mirror the ambience of the woodland park where it is located.
And, that decision had a happy ending for both Sharon and owner of the Gypsy Wood Park Chris Evans, when the panel of judges deemed the toilet worthy of first prize in the theme park category.
Flush with her success, Ms Evans told BBC Online: "It is unusual and we get artist Sharon Wilson to come back each year to add an extra bit."
This year's Loo of the Year Award received a record 1,500 entries in 57 prize categories, with toilets assessed for cleanliness, interior decor and the state of the fixtures.
Heat and Plumb can make your toilet dreams come true, too. Along with a range of decorative
toilet seats with novelty designs as well as a host of toilets designed for disabled users.
