Plumbing - Les Philpott to speak at industry event
21/04/2008
The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) is to hold its annual National Plumbing and Heating Weekend between June 13th and 14th.
Taking place at the Queen's Hotel in Leeds, the event will see keynote speakers discussing the issues facing the industry, while there will also be exhibitions from suppliers, manufacturers and key industry bodies.
A noted speaker at the event is Les Philpott, who undertook the Heath and Safety Executive's Gas Review.
Because this laid out the recommendations for domestic gas safety, Mr Philpott's speech will be of particular relevance to installers in the sector.
"The address from Les Philpott, therefore, is likely to attract great interest from the industry and from individual plumbers, each of whom will be affected by what happens and will be keen to know exactly what it means for them," said the APHC.
Mr Philpott will also be joined by Mike Johnson from the Department for Communities and Local Government and Dr John Reid MP, who will present speeches at the event.
Providing business services to the plumbing and heating industry, the APHC offers a range of services and benefits to its members.
