A martial arts expert has claimed the world record for breaking toilet seats on his head.

Kevin Shelley took his place at the throne among toilet-seat breaking enthusiasts at a specially organised challenge staged by the German version of the Guinness World Records Show.

Competing against a similarly skilled martial arts guru from Hamburg, Mr Shelley smashed 46 toilet seats in just 60 seconds, pal-item.com reports.

His opponent only managed to break 41 toilet seats in the same time.
Commenting on his win, Mr Shelley said: "My competitor was a nice guy, but he was pretty bulked up. It was a classic example of technique versus brute force. Luckily for me, technique won."
