Plumbing - Pegler senses the future of water saving
25/01/2008
Pegler has devised an innovative device set to dramatically cut water wastage in public toilets and homes.
Dubbed the Optiflush, the invention is capable of cutting usage of water by four-fifths, the firm claims.
It is able to achieve this thanks to the incorporation of a futuristic sensor, which means that the flush only operates when it is required to, according to a report frorm Buildingtalk.
The mag reports that the Optiflush "senses movement in the cloakroom" and "stores this knowledge", only activating the flush after a delay period.
However, should no one enter the room, the toilet will not flush, unless it has been set to do so.
Pegler manufactures a range of heating and plumbing solutions including water-saving
taps and state of the art
radiators which are both stylish and practical.
Heat and Plumb sells a wide range of water-saving devices, including Duchy taps and
showers and shower valves from Deva.
