Plumbing - Tap specialist offers modern approach to heating systems

Plumbers and installers across the UK have been offered some tips for their work with modern heating and chilled water systems.

According to those with the commissioning know-how at tap and radiator specialist Pegler, the correct valve product selection is essential.

Barrie Plant, Pegler Yorkshire's product manager, told Buildingtalk that his firm's Proflow Venturi is one device capable of meeting "the changing needs" of installers, contractors and specifiers.

"The Proflow Venturi is suitable for connecting to most steel, copper or plastic pipe systems, and from a technical viewpoint has been optimised to accurately deliver design-flow rates and signal and setting data to ensure trouble-free installation and operation," he explained.

He went on to suggest that the device offers "many advantages" over more commonly used fixed orifice plates.

Earlier this year, a number of construction professionals singled out Pegler's range of taps and shower facilities as offering "a complete cross-sectional approach" to pricing, style and design for installers and homeowners alike.
