Plumbing - Wilo pressure boosting system
29/08/2007
The new generation of pressure boosting systems are more energy efficient than their predecessors, it has been claimed.
According to Wilo, whose CC booster is claimed to be most advanced of its kind, the new high-tech systems are equipped with automatic control electronics which are cheaper to run than ever before, as well as being quieter.
These systems are especially useful in large buildings, such as office blocks and hotels, where pressure from water suppliers is sometimes insufficient to ensure all the
taps function correctly, and it is with this mind that Wilo has developed the CC booster.
"The core of the CC-booster is a programmable memory control developed by Wilo, which takes the fully automatic control and the control of pressure boosting systems with up to six individual pumps as standard," the firm claims.
Wilo also manufactures the CC-booster frequency converter, whereby the
pump and macerator which are part of the system are switched on or off in cascade form.
