Plumbing - World''s first touch-free toilet

An Australian toilet manufacturer has developed what it claims is the world's first touch-free toilet.

The Roboloo from Glenway products features a switch that enables users to lift the seat and lid without actually touching them - innovations which its manufacturers claim makes the toilet much more hygienic than existing models.

Meanwhile, as well as this bold new step in toilet technology, the Roboloo features an eco-friendly automatic flush function, which the firm claims can result in significant energy savings and limits water wastage.

The Autoflush function also has the benefit of eliminating the possibility of transferring germs through contact with traditional flushing mechanisms.

A spokesperson from Galway Products said: "Roboloo will save water, save you money and help save the environment. Roboloo easily fits to existing bathroom fixtures; we simply remove your old seat and replace it with one of our many "totally touch free" models or we can build to suit your needs."
