Rooney lays pitch at home with underfloor heating

The problem of rain stopping play is not one Wayne Rooney need ever consider, thanks to his planned new football pitch with underfloor heating.
The Manchester United ace's pitch is to be installed at his £4 million mansion at Prestbury, Cheshire with Premier League-standard turf and
underfloor heating to keep the pitch in tip-top condition.
An unnamed source told the Daily Mail: "Wayne himself wants the grass to be as good as the turf at Old Trafford.
"Stepping out on the pitch is one of his biggest thrills and he wants to recreate that back home."
The new pitch forms part of a total revamp Wayne and wife Coleen McLoughlin have planned for their garden, including a £30,000 state-of-the-art CCTV security system.
Rooney is likely to be spending a lot more time at home, having sustained an injury to his metatarsal likely to sideline him for England's forthcoming European Championship qualifiers as well as a number of Manchester United fixtures.
