Sewage Pumps - Wilo Ceream coating extends sewage pump''s life

The life of sewage pumps can be extended using Wilo's new ceramic coating product, the pump manufacturer has claimed.
According to Wilo, its Emu Ceram coating can reduce erosion of the coatings that often occurs in pressurised drainage systems which are frequently used for processing sewage over time.
A statement from the firm said: "The WiloEMU Ceram coating features a high degree of wet adhesion of 15 N/mm² which guarantees a high abrasion resistance. Due to withstanding high mechanical strain, even
sewage containing a high degree of sand can be pumped."
The Ceram coating is manufactured from polymer and ceramics pump components and provides a solution to corrosion of sewage pumps that the firm claims is both cost effective and solvent-free.
Wilo also recently announced the release of its CC booster which is equipped with automatic control electronics and is purported to be the most advanced pressure boosting system of its kind.
