The sewage system used by one of UK's most historic buildings has been updated in a way unimaginable to its original architects.

Botley Mills museum in Hampshire is housed in a building which predates the Norman Conquest and is even listed in the Domesday Book's proto-Pevsner review of Britain's building stock.

Grand as the Grade II-listed building is however, the outmoded toilet and water treatment facilties left more than a little to be desired.

That's all changed, though, thanks to the addition of a specially designed packaged system from Mono Mutrator incorporating a macerator and pump to transmit wastewater and sewage to the main sewer, Processingtalk.com reports.
