Towel Rails - Cream of art world design limited-edition towels

Some of the art world's leading lights have designed a series of limited-edition towels.

Among the contemporary artists who have contributed to the Artist Towel Series are Jeff Koons, who has crafted a typically kitsch design featuring a grinning monkey, as well as Cindy Sherman, Elizabeth Peyton and Kehinde Wiley.

Retailing at around £30, the range is expected to sell out quickly and are likely to become collectors items.

All proceeds from sales of the 60-70-inch-long towels will go to the not-for-profit organisation Art Production Fund to be used for civic art projects.

Next month the towels will be the official pool towels at the Miami Beach's Ralegin Hotel - creating a kind of ad-hoc poolside gallery.
