Underfloor Heating - Aston Martin design building: Available in any colour, as long as its ''green''

High-end car marque Aston Martin has enhanced its status as the king of the road with the incorporation of a raft of green energy features to its brand new design studio.

The firm has constructed the facility, which is located at Graydon near Aston Martin's to "be a showcase for environmentally sustainable design", Design Week reports.

To this end, design companies Weedon Partnership and Holzbau Saurer have substituted red brick for structural wood and will provide a significant proportion of the energy it uses from eco-friendly fittings.

These include solar panels on the roof, underfloor heating for cooling and heating the building and a water recycling system.

The studio was opened last week after 12 months of construction work, with Aston Martin's chief executive present for the official launch of its much anticipated DB9 and DB9 Volante models.
