Underfloor Heating - Under floor heating ''can reduce energy bills''
Homeowners could reduce their energy consumption by up to 20 per cent by switching to underfloor heating, it has been suggested.

The heating manufacturer Trianco explained that underfloor systems have been proved to be more energy efficient than radiators because the large surfaces they utilise distribute heat more evenly.

However, the company recommends going one step further and fitting an air source heat pump to work in conjunction with the underfloor heating system in order to maximise savings.

The pumps operate efficiently at lower temperatures, such as those used by underfloor heating, so combining the two products is an effective way of integrating a low-energy but stylish heating system into a home, Trianco added.

Such a system could benefit singer Madonna who, according to the Daily Mail, is something of an underfloor heating devotee.

The newspaper claims she prefers underfloor systems because she believes they do not have the same ageing effect as radiators.ADNFCR-1168-ID-18445601-ADNFCR
