Underfloor Heating - Under floor heating cuts emissions of kids activity centre
10/12/2007
A children's residential centre in Northumberland will provide real benefit to the community while also helping cut the area's carbon footprint.
The Dukeshouse Wood centre, near Hexham, will house up to 40 students and teachers and will provide a range of exciting outdoor activities.
These include quad-biking, indoor wall climbing and fencing, the Journal reports.
Best of all, though, is that thanks to the use of energy-efficient lighting and an innovative
underfloor heating system, such as those from Devimatt, the building is making a significant impact in the fight against climate change.
Mervyn Turner, project manager of the site, said: "It will enable young people to take part in activities they have never done before.
"They will be able to do this in an environment that is as safe as is physically possible, with all the activities taking place on the site itself."
Heat and Plumb sells a range of underfloor heating systems from Continental, Devi, Polyplumb and Varme.
