Water Heaters - Brad Pitt: Sponsor a tankless water heater this Christmas
11/12/2007
Brad Pitt has urged sorts to sponsor a low-flush toilet, solar panel or tankless water heater as part of an innovative housing project in New Orleans.
Pitt endorsed the energy and water-saving solutions as part of his work for Make It Right - a charity housing scheme seeking to address the still-present housing problems in New Orleans some three years after it was the scene of catastrophic weather conditions.
He told the New York Post: "You can adopt a tankless water heater or a solar panel or a tree or a low-flush toilet. You can give it to someone for Christmas."
The Make It Right scheme has so far seen the construction of 150 eco-homes, which will be raised via stilts to protect the homes even in intense flooding.
Funding for the scheme is entirely by charitable donations, with Pitt, and multi-millionaire and former Liz Hurley squeeze Steve Bing, both chipping in a not inconsiderable £2.5 million each.
Heat and Plumb sells a host of water-saving solutions including water heaters and tanks from Balmoral and
taps from Duchy.
