New LPG boiler from Baxi

18/06/2008

Boiler manufacturer Baxi has introduced a new energy-efficient unit to the market.

The firm has unveiled a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) version of the Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE, which qualifies as a SEDBUK Band A model.

LPG boilers have several advantages over conventional boilers, such as burning cleaner and without soot, no odours and appliances using it needing less maintenance than other units.

Suitable for off mains gas installations, the boiler comes equipped with a pre-plumbing wall-mounted jig, as all units in the Duo-tec range do, and also features an optional stand off bracket to provide upward pipe routing.

The boiler can also be used with the firm's Multifit range of accessories to allow it to be sited in various locations and use alternative plume management methods.

David Cook, sales director at Baxi, comments: "With 93.2 per cent efficiency, this new boiler allows households in off mains gas areas a clean, versatile alternative, which will help them reduce energy use and emissions."
