Fires and Heaters - New Sentinel cleaning system is more eco-friendly

Sentinel has improved its X800 Ferroquest chemical heating system cleaner to make it more eco-friendly.

The new chemical system uses a Jetflo formulation, which contains only non-toxic, biodegradable materials making the product far more environmentally friendly than its predecessor.

Dr Paul Day, European technical manager at Sentinel, said: "X800 Jetflo is a powerful chemical cleanser designed to remove iron oxide and calcium based deposits from heat exchangers, radiatorsand pipework.

"We have been able to change the formulation to significantly improve its environmentally friendly characteristics, without reducing its effectiveness. It is still the most effective cleanser on the domestic heating marketplace."

The new X800 Jeflo formulation is designed for use with the metals and alloys used in industry standard domestic heating systems, including aluminium.

Research shows that domestic heating systems which are not treated with cleaning products can lose up to 15 per cent of its heat transfer capability.
